Hey peeps,
Paul Byers, author of CATALYST, wants to send out many thanks to his devoted fans and friends. Over the past few weeks Paul has had signings at his two local Borders bookstores and has done rather well with the help of you all! Your support is key to his success so be sure to tell your bookworm friends to buy the book to keep this upswing going for him. Would you rather an e-book? Download the Kindle version!
We would also like to piggy-back this with an interview that was just posted by fellow author, Sean Ellis, at SeanEllisThrillers.webs.com. It is a great interview that delves into Paul's life, loves, and writing experiences. Also, there's lots of great info for you aspiring authors looking to take the leap into writing. Thanks to Sean for giving Paul the opportunity! You can thank Sean by purchasing his newest work, The SHROUD OF HEAVEN, another amazing thriller. (P.S. thanks for serving!)

What's My Favorite Line? ROGUE THREAT
Welcome back to another edition of Favorite Line! Today's line comes from AJ Tata's ROGUE THREAT, book two of the THREAT series.
I like this line because it shows the initial tension between Matt and Peyton that carries much of the narrative drive of ROGUE THREAT. There's attraction, sexual tension, and distrust, and this exchange captures that well.
ROGUE THREAT is certainly one of the most frightening books I've had the pleasure of reading. The fact that everything laid out in the book could be entirely true is very unnerving. The action is intense, the baddies are smart, and the brothers Garrett don't bother taking names.
Endorsed by W.E.B. Griffin and W.E. Butterworth IV (gracing the front cover), The Military Writer's Society of America, and U.S. News and World Report, he's established quite a readership and is developing quite a story line in the THREAT books. He's also been on multiple TV and radio programs talking not only about his books and all the proceeds of his book going to the USO Metro-DC, but also answering questions about the war on terror in regards to Afghanistan (as can be seen in past posts).
This hardcover is available in all the normal spots (Amazon, Kindle, BN, Borders, BAM) along with your local book hangout. For more on the author, visit AJTata.com
Talking to Peyton O'Hara, Matt smirked, "Screw the Vice President." Then, "Sorry, if that's in your job description, you know." Peyton stared at him and smiled. "They told me you could be an ass. I just didn't expect it to surface so quickly."

Everything That Glitters is... SILVER?
(Sorry, had to take a play out of Steven Savile's book there)... That's right people, SILVER has been sent to the printers and it looks utterly amazing! Take a look at the two chapter sample I posted mere moments ago (start now, it's big). As said right from the Brit's mouth,
I'm certainly a proud 'uncle' right now. I was also called a 'Golden God', but I'll keep that one to myself. ...
Next, we would love for you to check out the final version of the cover:
Gracing the front cover is Douglas Preston, and the back numbers 11 more various authors including Kevin J. Anderson, Stel Pavlou, and Variance's own Steve Alten. This book appeals to so many - it's technologically abundant, action intense, smart - and best of all, no one is safe! Every page you turn makes you wonder, 'what's next?'. Many also like to compare SILVER to Dan Brown's The DA VINCI CODE... but better! Don't take my word for it, see it on the back cover and in reviews posted around the net.
So, do yourself, a friend, or a family member a favor and pre-buy SILVER from your favorite store (Amazon, BN, Borders, B-A-M) today. Also, for those of you who buy the book, there is a special little (8 page) Author's Note in the back that talks about the book, his research, and a few other tasty tidbits. You'll thank me for it later.
For more on Steven Savile, trot over to his website, StevenSavile.com
Let's hear what you have to say about it! Read the sample, view the cover, send us your thoughts. If you've had the opportunity to read the book already, please post a review on your favorite bookstore site(s), along with any other blogs that will take it. Help make this the #1 NY Times bestseller it should be.
"This is seriously going to be THE most beautiful book that's ever had my name stain it."

What's My Favorite Line? SUDDEN THREAT
Good Monday, everyone! Thanks for bearing with me as I get caught up. Today's post centers around AJ Tata's SUDDEN THREAT.
If you think AJ is coming from a personal stance, you're probably right. He just retired this past year as an Army brigadier general, a significant portion of his last few months in Afghanistan. Though this tale he tells is fiction, I'm sure that there is more than just a little truth that hides in the shadows.
Labeled the 'New Tom Clancy' by Brad Thor, along with raving reviews from 'The Military Writer's Association of America', AJ Tata's SUDDEN THREAT (and book two coming Thursday) is a must-read if you are into action, adventure and militaristic-style thrillers. You can find it at all your normal stores (Amazon, Kindle, BN, Borders, B-A-M) including your local shoppes. For more, visit the author's website at AJTata.com.
Matt used his good arm to strike like a cobra against [Secretary of
Defense] Stone's wrist, grabbing it and squeezing it in a vise-like
grip. He leveled his eyes on Stone and began to speak. "Scumbags like you think you can live in your little soundproof world so that nothing circles back on you."
I like this line from Sudden Threat because Matt Garret is the ultimate field warrior, out there on the cutting edge of freedom, executing foreign policy. He puts in their place these beltway heroes that so cavalierly make decisions and articulates every front line warrior's unspoken urge to lay at the feet of bureaucrats their dead and wounded buddies killed by senseless policies.

Holy blurb's, SILVER-man
Last but not least, we have some amazing blurbs to post today from some top-notch authors and a great reviewer on SILVER. Please enjoy (and oogle) at the following =) :
"With the spine-tingling, brilliantly conceived SILVER, Steven Savile eclipses Dan Brown and various imitators of THE DA VINCI CODE. His new take on previously accepted gospel breathes new life into the tired religious-thriller, establishing him as a force to be reckoned with in the genre, placing him in the rarefied air of Steve Berry and James Rollins. The impossible-to-put-down SILVER is flat-out gold."
-- Jon Land, bestselling author of STRONG ENOUGH TO DIE and THE SEVEN SINS
"With SILVER, Steven Savile delivers a barn-storming tale of action, intrigue and suspense in a plot laced with ancient secrets and modern terror. His 'small heresy' will light the spark of debate as surely as anything delivered by Dan Brown. Savile writes like a charm...a SILVER charm."
-- Matt Hilton, author of the Joe Hunter thrillers (DEAD MAN'S DUST and JUDGEMENT AND WRATH)
"SILVER is everything I want in a thriller. History, ancient prophecy, religion, conspiracy, chases in exotic locales, and a Mission:Impossible-like team that brings it all into focus. Hardcore excitement. I can't wait to bring home the GOLD."
-- Author Magazine
That now brings the count up to ten strong blurbs... with a few more to come! If you haven't gone to your favorite book supplier and done a pre-buy option, what are you waiting for?
Are you one of the many waiting (patiently or not) to get your hands on Steven Savile's latest beast? I want to hear from you and let me know why.

Check out where Targets of Deception has been!
Post 2 of 3 for today comes to us from Glam.com. They did a little expose (so to speak) on TARGETS OF DECEPTION, a very real-to-life thriller by Jeffrey Stephens. They labeled it 'December's Must-Read Book', quite the compliment! Be sure to click through and see what they had to say about the protagonist, Jordan Sandor.
As always, it can be found in Amazon, Barnes&Noble and Borders, as well as the Kindle Store, and your local book shoppe.
Congrats to you, Jeff! For more on the author, visit JeffreyStephens.com.

What's My Favorite Line? ANTARKTOS RISING
Good morning friends,
Welcome to post two of the week! Today's guest is Jeremy Robinson, author of ANTARKTOS RISING. Let's hear what he has to say about his favorite line from the book:
If you haven't read ANTARKTOS RISING, I don't know what you are waiting for. It's an amazing book with great imagination that only he could pull off with such technique. It's filled with militaristic-type action, mythology, and a fantastical end-of-the-world sequence (that starts the book!) to pull any thriller reader in and have their hands locked on the book until the very last word.
You can find it on Amazon, Barnes&Noble, and Borders in paperback, as well as the electronic version in the Kindle Store. For more on the book, visit the ANTARKTOS RISING book page, and for more on Jeremy, visit JeremyRobinsonOnline.com.
Have you read ANTARKTOS RISING? Please let us know what you think! We would love to hear your input.
Welcome to post two of the week! Today's guest is Jeremy Robinson, author of ANTARKTOS RISING. Let's hear what he has to say about his favorite line from the book:
"The crystallized skin of the frozen congregation glistened in the candlelight."
This line begins the creepiest scene in Antarktos Rising. Though Whitney, the books main character, know countless numbers of people have died, this is the first time she's seen any bodies. She finds both revulsion and comfort in their presence.
