What's Your Favorite Gadget?

I've found a new love for technology in novels. With a few techno-thrillers on the roster, there are some amazing things out there that can certainly turn the tables, both for the pro- and antagonist. While my favorite shock-and-awe device has been the Metal Storm, what piece of technology have you read about that you would like to see more of?
